Formal Critique

In the middle of an empty forest a man walks where trees once stood towards a fire carrying bags of water on his shoulders and back wearing a business suit. There is smoke ahead of him but he continues to walk. The simplicity of the scene makes you wonder if he’s walking toward the fire to take it out with the bags of water he is carrying. He sees nothing ahead but smoke and flames. He gradually walks towards the fire with authority. In this photograph of ParkeHarrison I think their trying to say you need to face your problems head on even though you know it will be difficult to overcome. I like how they didn’t use photoshop yet managed to make something so difficult on their own. The man walking towards the fire is a great idea.
